What is SlashCopy?
SlashCopy is a powerful API service that removes tracking parameters and cleans URLs while preserving their functionality. When you share or click on links from Amazon, YouTube, Google, or other popular websites, they often contain tracking parameters that get added on to the end of the URL.
URL parameters are extra codes added to the end of URLs. This extra information is passed to the website server and used to track different things, from what marketing campaign brought you to the site, who shared the link to you, redirect select people to specific landing pages, what ads you clicked on, and many other uses.
SlashCopy aims to destroy tracking parameters, affiliate codes, and other digital debris appended on to your URLs. What remains is a clean, minimal URL that still takes you to the exact same page without the surveillance baggage.
